Electrical design is vital in maintaining an operational
building. Our electrical engineers take great pride in designing
systems that take into consideration future equipment additions and/or
building expansions while balancing current loads. We are also capable
of designing emergency generation systems for critical systems.
Charlie Yu & Associates also offers an added value
service for lighting design. We work with architects to implement
state-of-the-art lighting designs to reduce load and consumption. For
example, a simple occupant sensor can save 20% on lighting energy while
daylighting controls can save up to 40% on lighting energy. These
savings can be used for Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED)
projects and/or Savings by Design (SBD) projects. When lighting
accounts for 33% of electricity use in California, significant savings
stem from a well designed lighting system.

We provide engineering services for base stations and
sector antennas, including equipment grounding, for all major wirless
carriers in the United States, including Cingular, Nextel, Sprint,
T-Mobile and Verizon. We are familiar with the various mounting
techniques on towers, water tanks, rooftops and sides of buildings.
Mechanical engineering services are also provided for base stations
that are located within an enclosed space and need mechanical cooling.
