Charlie Yu & Associates offers a broad range of consulting engineering services to architects, developers, building owners and government agencies. Our core strength is mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for nonresidential buildings, including financial institutions, general commercial and industrial work buildings, hotels, medical buildings and clinics, office buildings, restaurants, retail and wholesale stores, and schools. The firm consists of a dynamic staff of skilled professionals with over 30 years of building design experience. Our engineers hold mechanical licenses in California and Nevada and electrical licenses in California. We maintain a wide range of design and analysis tools that may be applied to specific projects including energy modeling and simulation, building performance assessment, sustainable design assistance and life-cycle cost analysis. Our goal is to apply our technical knowledge and design experience to suite our clients’ needs.

Charlie Yu, president of Charlie Yu & Associates, Inc., is responsible for the management and allocation of staff resources to ensure the highest quality of work for our clients. Mr. Yu is a mechanical and electrical engineer with more than 30 years of experience. His expertise includes complete design of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for the construction industry. Prior to forming Charlie Yu & Associates in 1988, Mr. Yu was a mechanical engineer for large building facilities at Hayakawa Associates and a nuclear power plant design engineer for Bechtel Corporation.
